KABAG for ADHD
For many people, what is out of sight is easy to forget. KABAG was developed in Japan with feedback from 667 adults with ADHD or ADHD traits, plus input from professionals familiar with ADHD support.
The design focuses on three simple ideas: make the inside visible, give essentials a consistent place, and make each item’s “home” easier to recognize. Instead of digging through the bottom of a bag, the goal is to help everyday items stay easier to check, return, and carry with confidence.
KABAG is a consumer backpack. It is not a medical device, clinical treatment, or therapy.

Development story
KABAG for ADHD began with one customer’s letter, then grew through feedback from hundreds of people and professional input.
A customer wrote that visible, separated storage helped make everyday carry feel easier to manage. That message changed how we thought about what a backpack could do.
Read the customer letter that inspired this designThrough surveys, interviews, workshops, and product testing, we listened to adults with ADHD or ADHD traits and looked for patterns in everyday carry challenges.
The feedback became visible pockets, two-tier compartments, and consistent places for essentials — features designed to make the inside easier to check and use.
Customer feedback and professional input were translated into practical backpack details.
Development input included professionals familiar with ADHD support: Kazuyuki Minami, Miwa Nishihara, and Misuzu Nakashima.
